One thing I have to say straight up is when you look at Askara Villa online it looks really nice but how nice and luxurious it REALLY is ...well keep reading and you'll find out ;).
Following from my last post 'Serenity at Umalas Apartments', talking about accommodation around Seminyak this post is dedicated to everyone who is looking for a quiet place to stay around Canggu.
When we arrived, we were greeted by one of the friendly staff and taken to our Villa. Once we stepped inside the courtyard with a private pool, daybed, spacious outdoor kitchen and dining area we thought, surely we'd be sharing all this with a couple of other guests, but nope this was ALL for us!!!!
We then made our way inside the massive bedroom, including desk, TV, lounge area and walk in wardrobe with pamper station through to the amazing outdoor bathroom. Amazing! It comes with a beautiful bathtub and rainfall shower....Honestly it felt like every girls dream.
In the mornings, once we were ready for breakfast all we needed to do is open the beautiful balinese wooden doors to our villa and in comes the 'breakfast patrol' who cooked a fresh breakfast every morning including, fruit, coffee juice and eggs. Once we were ready to take on the the day we hopped on our scooters and drove to Canggu which only takes 15 minutes and is a nice journey through rice fields and local areas.
Canggu is full of amazing restaurants and cafes. It's hard to choose where to go everytime as so many restaurants serve delicously healthy and fresh meals but I have included a few below in case you're interested:
Breakfast: Betelnut Cafe, Nalu Bowls or Canteen
Lunch: Canteen, Old Man's, Ithaka, Pizza house (great pasta and pizza), Deus Ex Machina
Dinner: La Dunia (pricy but oh my it's so good!), Baracca (awesome pizza), Little Flinders, Deus
I will elaborate on these places a little more in another blogpost. They're all soooo good!!!!
After a day of surfing, eating and chilling we returned to our little private sanctuary where we chilled by the pool and enjoyed a movie. As we're quite active and love to explore we didn't get to try out the in house Spa the Askara Villa offers. Will certainly have to take advantage of this next time I'm there.
A huge thank you to Askara Villa's for having us! It was so hard writing this blogpost and uploading all those gorgeous photos while sitting in my room back in cold Perth. I wish I could go back already!
